Overview

Oath Tracker is built on a simple principle — your personal data belongs to you. We designed the app to keep your oaths, tasks, and trophies on your device only. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, what we do not collect, and how everything works.

Data stored on your device

All app data — including your oaths, daily tasks, sacrifice lists, self-message videos, focus time, and trophies — is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to create a backup.

We do not have access to any of this data. We cannot see your oaths, your progress, or anything you enter into the app.

Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to enable Google Drive backup, your app data is backed up to your personal Google Drive account. This backup is stored in your own Google account — not on our servers. We do not have access to your Google Drive or the data stored within it.

You can delete your backup at any time directly from your Google Drive. You can also disable and delete the backup from within the app settings at any time.

Deleting your data

You can delete all app data at any time from within the app settings. Once deleted, your data is permanently and irreversibly removed from your device. This includes all oaths, tasks, trophies, focus time records, and self-message videos. Deleted data cannot be recovered under any circumstances.

If you have a Google Drive backup enabled, deleting data from the app does not automatically delete your backup. You must delete the backup separately from your Google Drive.

Analytics and crash reporting

We use Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to identify and fix crashes.

Google Analytics collects anonymous usage data such as which screens are visited, how often the app is opened, and general device information including device type, operating system version, and country. This data is aggregated and anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally.

Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports when the app encounters an error. These reports include technical information about the crash such as device model, operating system version, and the state of the app at the time of the crash. Crash reports do not include any of your personal app data such as your oaths or tasks.

Both services are provided by Google. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

What we do not collect

  • Your name, email address, or any account information
  • The content of your oaths, tasks, or self-message videos
  • Your location data
  • Any financial or payment information
  • Any data that can personally identify you

No account required

Oath Tracker does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app. You open the app and start immediately.

Children's privacy

Oath Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
